Why Financial Resources work with C4

It costs a lot of money to find really good investments.  This seems counter intuitive but we find that for every one really good project, we'll look at somewhere between 10 to 15 others.  However, the time and resources don't stop there.  In addition, those financial resources that we work with count on us to deliver opportunities they actually want.

Using colors as the type of project and shapes as the return on their investment, let's explore the types of investments.  Recently, one asset manager of an international banking organization said, "We see so many projects that don't even come close to what we consider the right opportunity for us."

In our view, they were looking for orange investments with a rectangular return.  Those within and outside their firm continue to bring red investments because red is close to orange.  The return is also a problem.  It they accept rectangular returns, why not square?  And so it goes.  We pride ourselves on understanding what our resources want.  Even if we don't have something for them this quarter or even this year, we maintain our rapport with them to insure that we know if their appetite for risk or return changes.
